Martin has held senior executive roles in Ireland, Singapore, China, Belgium, the United States, Hong Kong and the UK and worked in over 40 countries around the world. Previous key roles include Director Of Corporate Affairs for British Telecom ( BT ) in Asia and Vice President of BT Worldwide where he led the group’s global communications efforts.
He was Chief Communications Officer at PCCW the Hong Kong Telecom group and a director at Global Integration, the internationally acclaimed coaching ad consulting group where he advised, coached and trained senior executives from the likes of Microsoft, Nokia, Coca Cola, Eli Lilly, Electrolux and Vodafone
During his career Martin has worked with and advised not just leading global brands but also small and local family run businesses, as well as medium sized national organisations. He has worked directly with seven Prime Ministers and Presidents.
Most recently he was CEO of Kylin Prime Group, an international media and investment group and Chairman of Kylin Prime Worldwide an internal and external advisory and coaching division of the group.
During his time with Kylin Prime, Martin led the development and implementation of €22 million of charitable endowment investments into Ireland including a ground breaking health research programme and an access programme for disadvantaged students at two of Ireland’s leading Universities. He cites this as the most important thing he has ever done in his business life.
In 2009 Martin launched 57 Million a global web based initiative with the objective of sharing our witnessing of acts of simple human kindness in order to encourage others to do the same. Attracting over 4000 stories a week – including stories from Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, Sir Alex Ferguson and David Beckham - the initiative featured in The Irish Independent, TV AM, The Daily Mirror, The Nationalist and RTE Radio 2 Derek Mooney Show.
Martin is married to Louise and has twins Rory and Elise.
Martin is an avid Munster Rugby Fan and also regularly attends Burnley FC matches when in England. A keen angler, he is often to be spotted on the rivers and lakes of Ireland trying to attain his to date elusive dream of landing a 20Kg Pike.
