Social Investment
Pitch In offers support and advice to charities and not for profit organisations who are seeking investments within and from a very crowded and competitive market.
The vast majority of this work is pro bono.
Besides starting his own social initiative ( 57 Million ) in 2009, since 2017 Martin has led the development and implementation of various charitable investments raising €22 million for charities in Ireland including:
- a ground breaking health research programme at a leading Irish university
- a cross cultural music and educational initiative for 40,000 children to help foster cross border harmony and to showcase Brand Ireland.
- a skills and enterprise initiative to provide skills and retraining for people to enter into re employment
- an access programme for disadvantaged students at another of Ireland’s leading universities.
- part funding for a new STEM centre for students in Ireland
Martin cites this as the most important thing he has ever done in his business life.
